The Festus Memorial Airport is a small airport owned by the City Of Festus.  When the City of Festus decided to sell the airport, and it became apparent that the airport may be shut down by a developer interested in utilizing the property for another purpose, a group of local business people and residents in the community realized the need to keep the airport and expand its facilities, and have entered into a contract to purchase the airport.  The sale will close in April of 2009.  The hope is to develop the airport privately, as a community facility.  As well as airport operations, they will integrate, industrial, recreational and commercial on or around the facility, by purchasing or joint venturing surrounding properties.  The group’s primary goal is to keep and expand the airport.

They are actively seeking additional partners and or adjoining property owner to get involved.  Partners can invest money either as a lender or as a partner.  They can merge their properties to become a partner and or partners can act as an additional guarantor to our acquisition and expansion financing.  An investment in the airport should prove to be both profitable and enjoyable, as the development plans are very exciting.  For more information contact Terry Probst at (314)623-6774.
