Clubs and Groups we are trying to establish are listed below. If you have an interest in joining a club or Group, or starting a different group or club at the Cave please let us know. We will provide the space but you the Community need to put it together. Click on the group you are interested in to sign up. If you would like a sign up booth at the open house for let us know and we will provide an area for you.
Car Club SIGN UP NOW
We hope to establish a car club in the Cave. We will provide space for your group to get started. We envision a meeting room, a library for repair manuals, magazines and other car related items, a couple of car lifts for project cars. We hope eventually a car museum can be incorporated. The car club will be able to hold car shows, swap meets, cruise nights, car rallys, auctions and other events at the Cave. Crystal City Underground will co sponsor event to help you get started with the ultimate car club.
Arts & Crafts SIGN UP NOW
We would like to develop a space for budding artists to come and meet. We will provide space for artists and crafts people to come and develop their skills. We would like to have a mentor program that will allow artists to learn each other’s crafts, like jewelry making, glass blowing, sculpting, painting. Works of art created by the club can be sold at our events as fund raisers or you will able to put on your own art shows.
Computer Club SIGN UP NOW
Get together and perfect your computer skills and play games. We would like to establish a computer lab for anybody that wants or needs to utilize a computer and learn all the necessary computer skills to further your job opportunities, or just for fun. We would like to see a mentor program to help young and old alike. Have meetings and events. Crystal City Underground will co sponsor War Game events and other happenings.
Health and Fitness SIGN UP NOW
Until we have walk, hike & bike paths you will have to trudge through the sand. We would like to start a Health a Fitness Group to start getting in shape and having activities at the Cave or other outings.
Outdoors Club SIGN UP NOW
We want to have an archery range and shooting range (see business opportunities). It makes sense to create a club for Outdoors Enthusiasts to meet and trade secrets or tell lies. We are situated on Plattin Creek so you can plan fishing outings and derbys, or come down and hone your skills at our facilities. We would like you to set up a mentor program to teach safety and skills to amateur hunters. Crystal City Underground will co-sponsor your events and incorporate your club into our tournaments.
Culinary SIGN UP NOW
Let’s build a kitchen. We would like to set up a culinary club to trade recipes teach cooking skills and get together to socialize. Crystal City Underground will help you set up a club and create events like chili cook offs, desert contests and others. You create the dish, we will help you cook it.
Sewing Club SIGN UP NOW
We would like to provide space in the Cave for you. Sewing, knitting, crochet, quilting and other skills can be honed and perfected. We hope for mentors to pass their skills and love of their art to others. We envision a gathering place with equipment to do projects or teach. You can share fabrics, patterns and ideas. Have a booth at our events to raise money or just have fun or Crystal City Underground will help you put on your own events.
Music SIGN UP NOW
We are going to establish an area that will be open for up and coming bands, established bands, and musicians. We hope to create a program similar to Austin City Limits, where you can come and show off your ability. We envision a permanent stage and lighting with high definition recording equipment and access to television broadcasting for exposure. Musicians can jam together, learn skills and put on event. We hope to incorporate budding artists in our tournament events and concerts as entertainment for the athletes and Community.
Extreme Sports SIGN UP NOW
We want to create a club for the daring. We hope to have rock climbing, skate boards & bike tracks, 4 wheeler, motorcycle and motocross track space in the Cave. (see business opportunities) Come and hone your skills and plan events and outings together. Crystal City Underground wants to Co sponsor your events.
